We have a 5 metre blast chamber on site which enables us to turn work around very quickly. We use G12 shot for all items however, other grades can be used upon request. Commercial and Domestic jobs are welcome.
Shot Blasting and Paint Stripping
For restoration work and paint removal, shot Blasting is our preferred method of metal surface preparation for painting. This process involves the controlled blasting of the item with abrasive material in order to remove any current finishes and coatings while also removing any corrosion or contamination such as rust. This process leaves a uniformed abraded surface ideal for coating on and maximising adhesion resulting in a superior finish.
We have an alloy wheel acid stripping tank which is ideal for removing lacquers and coatings from alloy wheels and smaller components. As alloy is a lot softer than normal metals, the surface of the wheel can become pitted from the shot therefore acid stripping leaves a much smoother finish on the wheel. This process is ideal for spoked wheels or ones with a high level of detail.
